Susan Morrison

Managing Editor

Susan Morrison is the managing editor of Western Horseman and the editor of Inside the Arena, a section featuring information on stock horse competition, rodeos and people within the performance horse industry.

Prior to joining Western Horseman, Susan spent four years at its sister publication, Quarter Horse News, where she covered major reining, working cow horse and cutting events. Before joining Cowboy Publishing Group, she worked in the newspaper industry for 10 years and for three years in media relations for The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

Susan has won several American Horse Publications awards for her writing, most recently for a feature article called “Top 5 Rodeo Horses of the Decade,” which appeared in the November 2010 issue of Western Horseman.

In her spare time, she enjoys riding and showing her cutting horse.
