Ralph Casey is a leader in the horseshoeing industry. He started his school with a small shed and one small forge in July 1989 with two students. He now has a list of students waiting to attend his school.
Mr. Casey has the only Farrier School, in the United States that uses high speed cameras to document the horse's mode of travel. He developed his technique to allow students to view it in slow motion. Mr. Casey has been quoted as saying " It is time that the horseshoeing industry comes out of the dark ages. It is time that horseshoers (farriers) are looked upon as technicians and not as someone who tacks on a shoe.
