Despite all the big money won at the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour Championship in Dallas, Texas, Nov. 10-12, most of the predictions made by WH's expert panel (see "NFR Preview"in November 2006 WH) for the 2006 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo appear to be on track.
Canadian Champions
Canadian championships are determined by a "sudden-death" format in which all 12 contestants in each event begin the Canadian Finals Rodeo on a level playing field. Money won during the regular season doesn't factor into CFR standings or play a role in determining eventual champions.

My brother, Tec, 12, and cousins Bob and Ray Tescher, 11 and 10, respectively, and I entered the bareback riding, which featured Shetland Ponies, and the steer riding, which had yearling Herefords and Scotch Highlanders. Ted, Bob and Ray also were in the saddle-bronc event, riding the bigger broncs.
